Spring break is here and summer is just a few months away. This has got many of us working really hard to get into our best swimsuit shape. Maybe you adhere to a strict diet, or hit the gym more often, or even hire a trainer. But for SO many, no matter how much you work out or how clean and healthy your diet – no matter what you do, it just. doesn’t. work.  UGH!!!

Sound familiar?  So then, what derails you???  Chances are it’s not your diet or your exercise routine at all. More than likely, it’s your thoughts that are sabotaging your success.  Yes, your thoughts. You know, the ones that say “It’s too hard” or “I can’t do it” or “I can start tomorrow” or “just one or two French fries won’t matter.”  Or, it could even those really tricky ones that say “I’m perfect just the way I am, so I don’t need to change a thing”!  And yes, we are all perfect beings, but this becomes problematic when we have feelings of shame, frustration or failure because we don’t achieve our goals.  And this applies to more than getting in physical shape; in fact, your thoughts impact your level of satisfaction in all areas of life:  relationships, career, creativity, spiritual practice, money, etc.  And your thoughts directly impact how you feel.

Don’t let your thoughts sabotage your goals!  Tell your thoughts who’s boss!  By learning how to identify and shift those negative or limiting thoughts and beliefs into more empowering thoughts and behaviors, you will just about guarantee your success in achieving your goals, whatever they may be.

So go on, start getting your thought and beliefs in better shape and see how much better you feel!
